The E-Z Up Pyramid is a snappy canopy tent offering 100 square feet of floor space and an easy-to-use quick release system. The Pyramid also provides an impressive 3-year warranty, a nice safety net for the $219 investment. This tent is great for single or multi-day use and will hold up under moderate conditions. The peak framing allows for plenty of headspace and an open feeling when walking into this shelter. A carrying case with rubberized grips and wheels allow for easy and comfortable transport, cutting down on overall effort of transportation. Coming in a variety of colors, this shelter is customizable and very user-friendly, excellent for people wanting to cut down on their commercial tent frustrations. Only the burly Editors' Choice winner, the Eurmax Premium, outscored the Pyramid. The Eurmax is more reliable for commercial vending, but the Pyramid saves quite a bit of cash.

Our Analysis and Test Results
With 100 square feet of floor space and a 10'5" unobstructed clearance, this tent offers a good amount of space. Unlike the Rapid Shelter, the frame follows the peak of the tent and doesn't have any low hanging structural supports, increasing the total headspace. The 100ft of floor space is fairly universal when it comes to commercial canopies. However, the design makes the tents floor space seem more open.
The maximum valance clearance is 6'11", so even your tallest friends shouldn't have to duck their heads to enter. With three adjustable heights, the Pyramid provides multiple options for personalization, and even at its max height the legs still feel stable, unlike the AmazonBasics, which legs felt as if they'd snap at that maximum height.
Ease of Setup
This tent required at least two people for set-up (like all commercial canopy tents we tested), as well as an initial set up involving attaching the fabric to the frame and mounting the wheels on the carry bag (this is typical for most commercial tents). Once this is done, set up is simple, taking an average time of 1min 5sec, which is the fastest setup time of the canopy tents tested.
What makes setup so efficient is the quick release system and the auto-slider pull pin which allow for the frame to glide into place. The quality of the materials also cuts down on set-up time since less time is required to force segments into place. It's heavier than the AmazonBasics model but felt lighter and easier to set-up due to the structure's smooth nature of design. This shelter is accessible for most adults, regardless of strength or height.
This tent comes with four heavy-duty steel stakes, which increase its stability in windy conditions. However, this shelter will most likely be set up on packed earth, so you will be relying on its weight and design to keep it anchored in the wind.
Its 54 lb weight allows for more stability than some of its lighter counterparts, though an additional purchase of guy-lines or sandbags may be a good call if you plan on setting this shelter up in heavy wind.
The Pyramid is composed of a 10'x10' powder coated steel frame which makes it durable to wind, rust, and water damage. The fabric top meets CPAI-84 and NFPA-701 fire resistant requirements and protects from the sun and light rain. Each corner of the fabric top is reinforced to cut down on wear and tear.
The quick release buttons for the joints cut down on wear and tear by decreasing the resistance during set-up. The lack of metal tabs also eliminates the issue of tabs disappearing within the frame. The steel frame is durable and dependable, which makes this tent a moderately long-lasting option.
Since this tent weighs over 50 lbs, it's essential that it has a bag which makes transportation easier, and Pyramid delivered. The included roller-bag has attachable wheels as well as Rubberized Sure-Grip handles which allow for a manageable method of transportation. The wheels themselves are small and not intended for off-road travel, but being able to roll a heavy tent like this makes a world of difference.
Unlike the Caddis Rapid Shelter, Pyramid understands how difficult it is to move these heavy tents around and provided the tent with a great bag to cut down on the stress of transportation. With that being said, we would still like to see a shoulder strap included in case the wheels fail, but the rubberized handles make carrying this tent by hand manageable with two people. The case is fairly easy to place back over the tent once it is collapsed, allowing you to pack up and move shop fast.
As the fastest canopy tent to set up, and one of the most mobile due to its travel-bag, we recommended this tent for just about any day-use event. Its steel stakes will help keep the tent stable in windy conditions and its steel frame and reinforced fabric allow for protection from the elements. This tent isn't as stable as the Eurmax Premium, so we would recommend using it in fair weather. This shelter comes in a variety of colors, which allows you many more options to match your personal preferences. Thanks to the ease of set-up and transportation, along with this durability, this is an excellent intro to mid-level canopy tent, for those of you in the commercial tent game.
At $219, this shelter is a bit of an investment but is still affordable, and the 3-year warranty offered by E-Z Up cuts down on much of the risk. We consider this shelter a great entry point if you're getting into the farmers' market scene.
A universal tent, this shelter provides protection and durability in most conditions. The carry case is designed with your comfort in mind, and the frame slides smoothly in place, making set-up a breeze. The price point makes this shelter accessible to those looking for an introductory canopy tent, while still providing durability and reliability, giving you the most bang for your buck. This is why this shelter received the Best Buy Award.
